My name is Chloe Scott and I am currently a sophomore at Indiana University, Bloomington, studying Elementary Education with a science concentration. I am originally from Manchester, England. I moved to the U.S. in 2013. When i am not in Bloomington, I live in Fishers, IN. with my family and my dog, Mia. When I have my own classroom someday, I hope to teach kindergarten or first grade. I have always loved being around young children and working with people, which is why I decided to dedicate the rest of my college education and career to elementary education. My main pedagogical belief as a teacher is to ensure my students are comfortable in my classroom. I want to be viewed as approachable by my students, so they are able to come to me with any questions or concerns they may have. I also want to ensure my classroom is engaging as well as efficient. I want to include technology in my classroom as a way to engage my students. Incorporating technology into a lesson is not only engaging, but also a way to help students practice using technology for the future. There are so many available online resources for students to interact with for many different subject areas, so it would only make sense to let my students use them. Making my classroom efficient would include using technology to teach, as it is a good way to organize and plan, as well as present information to my students.
